My Experience with Acupuncture and Cupping

I have been back to work for several weeks now after a recent back injury, yet I was still dealing with some chronic low-level pain punctuated by more intense shooting pain 3 to 5 times a day.  I went to Acupuncture Together with Ashley O’Brian.  Her clinic is at the corner of Burnet and Richcreek right here in my neighborhood.  The space is quiet and nurturing like Ashley herself.  She offers a sliding fee scale that allows folks to get more treatments.  Each treatment either eliminated or greatly reduced my pain.  Since my last appointment last Saturday the 10th I am pain-free.

I also tried cupping, a treatment that felt like a massage times ten.  My muscles were sore from weeks of walking in a way that caters to pain.  Cupping is intense and even a little painful, but made me feel fantastic and mobile again!  Look for links at the bottom of any page for her website and other professionals I recommend.  Or here you go:  http://www.acupuncturetogetheraustin.com/  Here’s to your health!

A New Person…

…is what i feel like after bodywork by Cheryl Holley.

I recently strained my back during massage work due to weeks of compensating for a  finger injury.  I couldn’t move at all without intense shooting pain.  Cheryl’s work allowed me to move around again….which is helpful!  Then we followed up with another session so I could keep moving and improving.  Seriously excellent and inspired work. She used a combination of strain/counter-strain, Swedish massage and cranial-sacral therapy.   I highly recommend her.  Her contact info:  512-458-5579.
